The township in Graaff-Reinet benefits 100% financially through this venture since this is one of the first black operated tourist ventures in Graaff-Reinet whereby the local township community gets all the financial gain. The money generated from Township Tours are allocated to community projects, which the community decides upon. The people of Umasizake have undertaken to broaden the tour by exhibiting and demonstrating the Xhosa culture and having handmade goods for sale. We at Karoopark and Camdeboo Cottages do not benefit financially from this excursion.
